Beautiful empire mahogany architects table by Jean-Joseph Chapuis (1765-1864). Jean-Joseph Chapuis (born in Brussels) was a famous furniture maker. He obtained a master craftsman title in Paris allowing him to personally mark his work. This table has been fully restored in its original condition. It can be height adjusted in multiple ways. It has a double ratcheted hinged rectangular top above a drawer. The top panel is made out of leather. The square tapering legs have brass feet. Green felt on the inside. Marked at least two times with 'Chapuis'.

"

This bar is amazing. Beautiful and exactly as described. A custom crate (which was a work of art itself) was built in order to ship the piece to the U.S. The bar arrived in perfect condition without a scratch. I will say that take the crate apart was not easy and was a two-person job. But worth it in the end
