André Brasilier’s art invites viewers into a poetic world where landscape and emotion converge. In Trois Cavaliers, painted in 1991, he captures his lifelong fascination with horses and the harmony between humans and nature. The work reflects his unique visual language; where figurative elements merge with lyrical abstraction, and colour becomes the true narrator.

Design
The composition presents three riders moving gracefully through an open landscape at dusk. Brasilier uses a restrained yet evocative palette of deep blues, lush greens, and soft pinks to convey an atmosphere of calm and contemplation. The horizon dissolves into a band of rose-toned sky, casting a serene light over the riders and their mounts. Characteristically, Brasilier’s figures are rendered with minimal detail, their anonymity enhancing the sense of timelessness and universality. The horses, one speckled white and the others in indigo and brown, seem to glide through the painted field rather than occupy it.

This work is signed lower centre and signed, dated and titled on the reverse. It is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from the artist's studio.
