This sculptural table lamp is designed by renowned Venetian glass artist Lino Tagliapietra and produced on the island of Murano. With decades of technical mastery and artistic expression, Tagliapietra brings a unique voice to glass design, visible in this elegant and refined piece.
Design
The lamp is shaped in a tall, asymmetric cone with gently curved contours and a subtly organic base. Made in blown Murano glass, the body features alternating black and white vertical canes, carefully aligned to emphasize its height and tapering form. When unlit, the lamp displays a calm yet graphic presence. Once illuminated, the internal bulb transforms the object, casting a soft warm glow and activating the linear pattern into a play of light and shadow. The quality of the craftsmanship is visible in the uniformity of the stripes and the seamless surface. A discreet opening at the base allows the light source to remain hidden while diffusing a mellow ambience through the entire form. The glass is finished with a high polish, giving the lamp a refined surface that enhances its optical qualities.
Condition
The lamp is in very good condition with minor wear consistent with age. No chips or cracks are visible and the wiring has been checked for functionality.
This bar is amazing. Beautiful and exactly as described. A custom crate (which was a work of art itself) was built in order to ship the piece to the U.S. The bar arrived in perfect condition without a scratch. I will say that take the crate apart was not easy and was a two-person job. But worth it in the end
