Angular yet poised, this pair of Danish lounge chairs speaks the confident design language of mid-century Scandinavia. With sculptural arms and a forward-thrusting stance, they reflect the craftsmanship and restrained drama of 1960s Danish furniture.
Design
Likely produced during the golden age of Danish modernism, these lounge chairs combine sharp geometries with generous comfort. The solid wood framesin teak are expertly joined and taper into angular front legs and slightly splayed hind legs. The arms, sculpted into bold, faceted shapes, double as architectural elements that visually anchor the design.
Upholstered in a coarse olive-green wool fabric, the cushions have a firm, structured character, and their rectangular back and seat contrast the frame’s flowing curvature. The build and style suggest a connection to designers such as Illum Wikkelsø, known for their disciplined silhouettes and expressive joinery. The hallmark “Made in Denmark” on the underside confirms the country of origin, though the exact maker remains unidentified.
Confidently modern yet crafted with quiet reverence for tradition, the chairs lend themselves to both standalone presence or pairing with other modernist pieces. They invite repose without ever becoming casual.
Condition
The pair is structurally in good condition, with minor signs of wear on the wood and fading on the fabric consistent with age and use. Re-upholstery is advised for this set and we are happy to advise on options.

I recently bought some amazing Artwork from AtKris Studio online. The whole experience was amazing. The transaction was amazingly efficient. The crating and shipping of the artwork to the United States from the Netherlands could not have gone smoother and the customer service was spot on!! Krista was amazing and I highly recommend AtKris Studio!
This bar is amazing. Beautiful and exactly as described. A custom crate (which was a work of art itself) was built in order to ship the piece to the U.S. The bar arrived in perfect condition without a scratch. I will say that take the crate apart was not easy and was a two-person job. But worth it in the end
Table arrived very well crated, seller made process seamless.
