These wall appliques were designed by Albano Poli in the 1970s, reflecting the era's focus on innovative and artistic lighting. Poli, an Italian designer, is known for his skill in creating unique light fixtures that combine function with visual appeal. These appliques are a prime example of his work. The appliques are made from Murano glass, a material with a long tradition in Venetian glassmaking.

Design

The glass bars are arranged in a geometric pattern, allowing light to pass through and creating interesting visual effects. The Murano glass used in these pieces is known for its quality and craftsmanship, contributing to the appliques' overall impact. Each applique is mounted on a metal fixture, providing a sturdy base for the delicate glass. The fixture is equipped with an E14 lamp socket, which is compatible with various types of light bulbs. These appliques function not only as lighting but also as decorative elements, showcasing the craftsmanship of Albano Poli and the timeless appeal of Murano glass.

Condition

The appliques show some discoloring of the glue used at the time and the fixtures have signs of oxidation.

This bar is amazing. Beautiful and exactly as described. A custom crate (which was a work of art itself) was built in order to ship the piece to the U.S. The bar arrived in perfect condition without a scratch. I will say that take the crate apart was not easy and was a two-person job. But worth it in the end
