Amsterdam School round side table in oak and macassar. This side table has the eclectic character of the Amsterdam School, which is regarded as the Dutch exponent of Art Deco.

Design

Organic shapes reinforce each other and are mainly characterized by the craftsmanship of that period within the wood industry. Four sturdy legs are made wavy on both sides. The typical appearance of the patinated oak wood adds cachet. At the top of the legs, three dark-colored layers of wood have been applied in the form of a stylized leaf. An intermediate shelf is attached at a height of about ten centimeters from the base of the legs and has slightly wavy notches.Curved oak forms the edge of the top and gives a substantial sense of body to this side table. The edge is decorated with a decorative wood carving of tiny droplets. The top itself is also inlaid with oak and interspersed with macassar veneer. Refined and of a high level.

Condition

The condition is very good with only minimal scratches and discolorations."

This bar is amazing. Beautiful and exactly as described. A custom crate (which was a work of art itself) was built in order to ship the piece to the U.S. The bar arrived in perfect condition without a scratch. I will say that take the crate apart was not easy and was a two-person job. But worth it in the end
