A dining table that perfectly reflects the bold elegance of Italian design from the 1970s. Designed by Sandro Petti for Angelo Metallarte, this piece combines refined materials with an architectural composition that immediately draws the eye.
Design
The table features a black chromed metal frame with brass accents that create a subtle contrast between dark and warm tones. Its geometric base is connected by sculptural brass elements, giving the table a strong architectural presence without appearing heavy. The rectangular top is finished with a brass edge and protected by a glass surface, beneath which a beautifully figured burl wood panel is displayed. At the center, an unusual hexagonal glass opening introduces depth and transparency, allowing the base to remain visible from above.
This thoughtful combination of brass, glass, black chrome and burl wood is characteristic of Sandro Petti's sophisticated design language and makes the table equally suitable for contemporary and vintage interiors.
With its balanced proportions and distinctive use of materials, this is a dining table that functions as both a practical piece and a sculptural centerpiece.
Condition
The table remains in very good vintage condition with only signs of age and use. It has been carefully preserved and presents beautifully.
This bar is amazing. Beautiful and exactly as described. A custom crate (which was a work of art itself) was built in order to ship the piece to the U.S. The bar arrived in perfect condition without a scratch. I will say that take the crate apart was not easy and was a two-person job. But worth it in the end
Quality, flexibility, very good communication, very happy with the coffee table I bought.
Table arrived very well crated, seller made process seamless.
