Another refined piece from the creative mind of Carlo Nason. Designed in the 1970s and executed by Mazzega in Murano, this wall lamp combines craftsmanship with a clear design vision. Nason’s approach is consistent yet always surprising, rooted in material exploration and form clarity.
Design
The lamp consists of three thick, curved glass elements, two clear and one amber, arranged vertically. The central amber piece catches the light and creates a warm, diffused glow, while the flanking clear glass sections offer structure and balance. Their textured surfaces gently refract the light and soften its spread across the wall. Viewed from the side, the layers form a sculptural rhythm, almost architectural in feel. When lit, the lamps cast a soft aureole of amber light, adding depth and atmosphere.
Well-proportioned and functional, this wall lamp displays both a technical and aesthetic coherence. A considered piece of 1970s Italian lighting that goes beyond the decorative.
Condition
The lamp remains in good vintage condition with minor signs of age. The metal backplate is equipped with two E14 light fixtures.
Excellent responsiveness, and with wonderful curatorial chops!
This bar is amazing. Beautiful and exactly as described. A custom crate (which was a work of art itself) was built in order to ship the piece to the U.S. The bar arrived in perfect condition without a scratch. I will say that take the crate apart was not easy and was a two-person job. But worth it in the end
Quality, flexibility, very good communication, very happy with the coffee table I bought.
